About...
Pamela Duncan is an artist who has recently retired and is now creating art full-time after a career in teaching. Her home-based studio is located in the South Okanagan of British Columbia.
A principle theme in Pam's work is nature. Her painting strives to capture the drama of color and light in her landscape and floral paintings. These are usually painted using oil or acrylics.
The artist enjoys painting en plein air to capture the momentary sense of light and dramatic effects of shadows in the natural environment. Supporting sketches and photographs also provide reference to complete paintings in her studio.
Pam has had a lifelong love of the outdoors. Apart from painting her activities also include running, hiking and kayaking. The Okanagan valley and it's climate allows for enjoying a creative and active lifestyle year-round.
